Inflow Signs Vanderbilt University for IDC Services
October 6, 2003 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Inflow (inflow.com) announced today it has signed a seven-year contract with Vanderbilt University for business continuity and data center services. Under the terms of the agreement, Vanderbilt will occupy approximately 2,500 square feet of data center space, serving as a high availability business continuance site for the Vanderbilt University Media Center.
"Having completed a thorough evaluation process we selected Inflow. They were able to clearly demonstrate their expertise in managing high availability data centers," said Randall Ward of Vanderbilt University. "In selecting Inflow, the University will be able to run a recovery environment that provides a meaningfully improved Recovery Time Objective (RTO) for our end users, at a cost that is comparable to a 'cold site' solution offered by other data center and business continuance service providers"
Vanderbilt University is located in Nashville, Tennessee, home to Inflow?s Nashville IDC facility.
"This is a terrific win for Inflow," said David Klements, general manager for Inflow-Nashville. "We continue to make significant strides into enterprise accounts and the relationship with Vanderbilt
University is really a culmination of our efforts. Enterprises such as Vanderbilt University are increasingly reliant on their IT systems and have growing system availability requirements. These trends, combined with an interest in outsourcing non-core competencies such as data center operations, are driving Inflow's growth."
Inflow has recently received ISO 9001:2000 certification for its Pittsburgh, PA facility. ISO 9001:2000 is an international standard of quality.
