May 10, 2004 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider HostMySite.com (hostmysite.com) announced on Monday the grand opening of a second data center facility designed to house thousands of servers in support of its 25,000 shared and dedicated Web hosting customers.
The 12,000 square-foot data center is located in Newark, Delaware at 350 Pencader Drive. It has raised floors with downdraft forced-air cooling and redundant FE-25 gas fire suppression systems. For backup protection, the facility boasts a central battery array and diesel generators. HostMySite.com said the data center dramatically increases the level of network redundancy that it can offer by adding additional fiber optic connections to the existing infrastructure.

The data center, HostMySite.com says, is expected to create more than 50 new jobs for the greater Newark area.
