March 4, 2004 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider Hostway (hostway.com) said on Wednesday that it will join Chicago Mayor Richard M. Daley's Council of Technology Advisors (MCTA) in sponsoring a search for the Chicago area's top Web designers as part of the second annual Chicagoland Web Designers of the Future Contest.
The contest, which is giving away a total of $5,000 in scholarships, is open to public and private high school students in the Chicago area. "We're convinced that some of the best young Web designers in the country reside in the Chicago area," says Lucas Roh, Hostway's CEO. "Hostway is proud to join the Mayor's Council of Technology Advisors in providing an opportunity to bring to light some of this local talent and supports the personal and professional development of young students who are considering Internet-related careers."
