October 12, 2005 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting and domain name registration provider GoDaddy.com (godaddy.com) announced on Tuesday that it had officially launched its Internet auction site for domains, The Domain Name Aftermarket (tdnam.com). The new site offers customers four different ways to buy and sell domains.
"Buy Now" enables customers to purchase domains at a single, set price. "Expired Domain Auctions" enables customers to bid on an expired domain, with the winning bidder receiving full ownership of the domain name after a two-week (post-auction) waiting period. "Offer/Counteroffer" allows users to extend an offer on any domain, with The Domain Name Aftermarket staff acting as an intermediary. And "7-Day Public Auction" permits sellers to set a minimum starting bid, with potential buyers placing increasingly higher bids.
Go Daddy customers purchasing Domain Name Aftermarket accounts receive 24-hour support, escrow services and free domain monitoring.
"The Domain Name Aftermarket's mission is simple - to provide customers with a safe, secure and easy-to-use marketplace to either bid on a domain name or post a domain for sale," says Bob Parsons, president and founder of GoDaddy.com.
