September 20, 2005 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider and domain registrar Go Daddy (godaddy.com) announced on Tuesday that it had introduced new options for its virtual dedicated and dedicated hosting plans.
Current virtual dedicated and dedicated customers can choose from pre-configured plans or custom build their own servers, selecting disk space and bandwidth, and from a variety of control panel, FTP and backup options.
New options for virtual dedicated customers include 768MB guaranteed RAM and 2GB Bursted, which the company says will help customers improve overall Web site performance. Dedicated customers can now choose to install the Red Hat Enterprise Linux 4 operating system.
"With the addition of these new options, our Virtual Dedicated and Dedicated server plans are tougher than ever to beat - especially since we just lowered the price of all our Dedicated Server plans by 20 dollars per month," says Bob Parsons, president and founder of Go Daddy. "Of course, lower prices and more customization options doesn't change the fact that all plans are backed by unparalleled 24-hour service."
