September 9, 2002 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Full-service internet solution provider Globix Corporation (Globix.com) said on Monday that it has made several significant changes to its executive lineup, naming Shawn P. Brosnan its finance chief and John D. McCarthy as head of strategy and business development.
Effective immediately, says Globix, Brosnan, who currently serves as senior vice president, corporate controller/chief accounting officer, will assume the role of acting chief financial officer, responsible for all of the company?s financial matters. McCarthy becomes senior vice president, business development and strategic planning, responsible for all the company?s strategic business development matters.
Brosnan, says Globix, has been directly involved with the company?s recent reorganization and successful emergence from Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, and has been closely involved in the company?s financial and operational restructuring in the US and Europe.
"I am delighted to recognize all that Shawn has contributed in stabilizing our finances and promoting financial responsibility, governance and financial planning initiatives," says Globix CEO Peter Stevenson. "The combination of Shawn's background and experience provides the right fit to achieve our financial and operational goals."
McCarthy, who has been acting chief financial officer since April of 2002 will be responsible for mergers and acquisitions and strategic business development activities in his new role.
