Ensim Helps Rackshack Sell 1,000 Dedicated Servers in 60 Days
February 26, 2002 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Ensim Corporation (ensim.com), a provider of hosting automation solutions, said today that its WEBppliance platform helped Web hosting company Rackshack (rackshack.net) sell 1,000 dedicated server plans in 60 days.
According to Ensim, Rackshack relied on WEBppliance's application management architecture to cut the time and cost of server deployment, and passed along those savings to its customers and resellers. Ensim's WEBppliance also offered Rackshack the ability to differentiate itself through hosting service plans and strong technical support.
"WEBppliance was the clear winner in our evaluation of other vendors who claimed to contribute to greater profitability in our market segment," said Robert Marsh, Head Surfer at Rackshack. "We expect that our continued deployment onto the WEBppliance platform will be commensurate with our ability to outdistance the competition and reap market share."
WEBppliance provides a set of control panels that allow for the self-administration of Web sites and domains. Rackshack is among the largest independent hosting providers in Texas and is a subsidiary of Everyones Internet, a Houston-based Internet Service Provider.
"The success of Rackshack is another proof-point in the value proposition of WEBppliance," said Andy Kim, Vice President of Marketing at Ensim. "With its advanced automation capabilities, WEBppliance allows Rackshack to drive down prices and re-deploy their IT experts to the front lines of customer support where account churn is reduced and profits are enhanced even further."
