December 20, 2004 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Online auctioneer eBay (ebay.com) may be expanding its Denver, Colorado-based data center as part of its efforts to improve its geographic diversity, reports say.
Hani Durzy, spokesperson for the San Jose-based company, said in a report that eBay wants to add data services to four of its data centers and is considering expanding its Denver and Austin, Texas facilities. According to Durzy, eBay has a small facility in Denver, but would like to build or purchase a new building that could accommodate its expansion.
In recent months, Ebay has reportedly been busy with efforts to improve to improve its network infrastructure and expand operations in several cities across the US.
