(geotrust.com) announced on Monday that it has been named by Internet service provider EarthLink (earthlink.net) as the supplier of secure sockets layer certificates for its Web hosting and e-commerce customers.
EarthLink says SSL security has become a necessity for anybody conducting business over the Internet, including small businesses and online retailers. The company says it is working with GeoTrust to help make securing SSL certificates simple and affordable for customers.
With access to GeoTrust's automated vetting and certificate issuing process, says GeoTrust, EarthLink customers will be able to easily apply for and receive certificates with which to secure their Web domains.
