October 15, 2002 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- DSL.net (dsl.net) announced an enhanced suite of Web hosting products
with e-commerce features that make it easy for small- and medium-sized
companies to conduct business on the Internet.
The nationwide provider of broadband communications services has introduced
three primary hosting packages - SiteBasic, SiteBiz and SitePro - with
enhanced offerings available within each category. All include a free
easy-to-use site-building tool, Web-based site management capability and a
reporting tool for Web site statistical analysis.
The hosting packages begin with the highly affordable SiteBasic and move up
to the mid-priced SiteBiz and SitePro categories that offer additional disk
space, data transfer limits and capabilities like audio and video access.
Within each of these categories, customers can expand functionality by
adding features. For example, SiteBasic users can easily move up to
eSiteBasic to create a storefront. SiteBiz or SitePro users can move up to
e-commerce capabilities and expand their online catalogs. From there, users
can opt for eSiteBizPlus or eSiteProPlus to get real-time payment processing
and merchant account functionality.
"We've been listening to our customers and working with our partners to
create Web hosting packages that allow businesses to fully utilize the
Internet and make it easy to expand their online business," said Ray
Allieri, senior vice president of Marketing & Sales at DSL.net. "These
latest offerings allow a business with little or no technical expertise to
implement an e-commerce strategy that could have a dramatic impact on
business."
