The company is offering Dell single- and multi-processor gigabit-connected platforms with un-metered bandwidth plans from 2 to 200 MBPS. Customers can select the hardware platform, operating system, control panel, bandwidth usage and bandwidth provider based on their individual requirements.
Carpathia says the most popular combination has been the Dell 750 P4 with 1GB of RAM and dual 160 hard drives with 110 MBPS of bandwidth for $999 per month.
Plans are offered on a monthly basis, allowing for the switching of bandwidth levels and providers on demand. Customers are allowed to "burst out" of any plan as an option, Carpathia said.
"Our new un-metered dedicated burstable server solutions allow our reseller customers to completely control their costs while also providing bandwidth burst capabilities to take full advantage of the available bandwidth when needed," says S.
