February 13, 2004 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Systems Advisory Group Enterprises (SAGE) (sage-inc.com), a developer of Internet security solutions, announced this week that its BRICKserver 2 Secure Web Appliance now supports the Oracle 10g database.
BRICKserver 2 is a secure Web appliance that deploys process-based security (PBS) for Web server protection. PBS is a security model that replaces user-based access (discretionary access) with process-based access (mandatory access controls), invoking rules of least privilege and separation of duties. PBS, according to SAGE, prevents unauthorized access to system level function, enhancing overall security.
The company said that Oracle support provides additional functionality and security for Brickserver2 customers that use the Oracle database.
"Adding the benefit and functionality of Oracle 10g to BRICKServer 2 allows our larger customers access to the best solutions for their secure Web server needs," says Louis Jurgens, executive vice president of SAGE, Inc. "In addition, Oracle's new aggressive pricing for their product matches perfectly with the modest cost of our secure Web server appliance."
