July 21, 2005 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Bulk domain name registrar and AIT subsidiary AITDomains.com (aitdomains.com) announced on Thursday it has created a domain auction service. AITDomains has reported sales as high as five figures, as well as many lower price tags.

"This auction service makes it easy to sell or buy, with absolutely no fees until a domain is sold," says Beau Garcia, VP of business development for AITDomains.com. "This is the industry equivalent of the stock brokerage shop that does not charge hefty fees for simply walking in the door."
AITDomains.com's auction service is based on a strict seller-to-buyer model, meaning it only gets paid once the sale is completed. The fee is based on the transaction size, making it especially advantageous for those in the bulk registrations arena and for speculators who target specific markets.
AIT auctions can be set up to run for as long as a seller wants, and the domain holder can establish a mandatory reserve price for a sale to be processed. The application also alerts bidders by email when the auction goes into its last 24 hours.
