December 16, 2005 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider CW3 (cw3host.com) announced on Friday that it had developed a free script that prevents form mail hijacking.
Why use a vendor when you can choose a partner? DataPipe delivers highly customized solutions to meet your unique IT needs. World-class data centers in the U.S., London & China. DataPipe - Personal Touch, Global Reach.
The script, written in php, is designed to stop spammers from using forms on the "contact us" pages of Web sites to send spam.
The method of spamming is easy to implement because of the literally millions of Web sites that have forms on their pages. Further compounding the problem are the thousands of applications that have email forms, the company says.
CW3 says the script does not block commonly used characters or terms, only abuse attempts. An easy installation process enables replacement of the mail form or script that is prone to abuse.
