December 12, 2005 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Email hosting service provider Webmail.us (webmail.us) announced on Monday that it had released version 1.0 of its Web-based calendar and online task manager. Both services integrate with the company's Webmail interface.

The tools include features such as multiple views for the calendar, alerts and email reminders for time-sensitive appointments and events, support for all day, time-based and recurring events, the ability to view all tasks and the ability to store notes with each calendar event and task listing.
"As our customer base has grown, so too has the demand we've seen for Web-based calendaring," says Pat Matthews, CEO at Webmail.us. "More of our customers are relying on Webmail to check email now they'll be able to track their appointments, events, and task lists - all from the same Web interface."
The calendar and task list manager were built using Web development framework Ajax. The tools do not require any software download or installation.
