December 8, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Australian commercial television broadcaster Network Ten (ten.com.au) announced on Friday it has signed a $2.5 million Australian deal with Web hosting provider Hostworks (hostworks.com.au), according to reports.

The broadcaster says it signed the deal because it is looking to boost its online assets with at least 50 new Web sites based on both local programs like Australian Idol and Thank God You're Here as well as overseas series.
The company has worked with Hostworks in the past on programs such as Big Brother and says it has found success with the partnership.
Network Ten predicts that its new online assets will attract close to 1.5 million unique visitors by early 2008.
