November 28, 2005 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- BizRocket.com (bizrocket.com) announced this week that it had won an $800,000 settlement from Atlanta-based Web hosting provider Interland (interland.com).
BizRocket claimed Interland was responsible for the loss of BizRocket's search engine software and computer server, which Interland was hosting, as well as the loss of access to the machine and software. The incident occurred in 1999 and 2000.
According to the lawsuit, "Interland's malicious and tortuous actions resulted in the subsequent disappearance of the company's Internet Web site and related software."
BizRocket says its principal asset was its software and Web Site, a popular Internet search engine and portal tool.
The lawsuit is being litigated in the Southern District, Miami Division.
