November 20, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider Webair (webair.com) announced on Tuesday it has acquired Montreal, Canada-based Web hosting provider Wisol (wisol.com), enabling the company to create an international presence.
The acquisition enables Webair to expand its global footprint to Montreal, offering dedicated hosting services in its newest facility. The Wisol acquisition allows better routes to Webair's global customers, as well as increased peering, redundancy and additional sites for load balancing and backups.
"It's an exciting time at Webair; acquiring Wisol provides our company with increased market share and our clients with the best hosting services anywhere on the globe," says Michael Christopher, president and founder of Webair. "With more locations comes increased reliability and advanced connectivity options. Along with the Montreal acquisition, we are expanding our footprints in both New York and Amsterdam as well."
The Webair acquisition comes on the heels of a successful appearance at the recently held interactive advertising and technology conference ad:tech (ad-tech.com) in New York City. At ad:tech, Webair says it generated increased market presence with its exhibit, and had face-to-face time with new and existing customers.
