Sun's global distribution network will deliver the new application traffic management system, which combines Sun hardware and Zeus Extensible Traffic Manager. The new solution offers high scalability and performance for traffic management systems to manage application traffic through using traffic scripting. The solution is designed for large enterprises, service providers and online media companies to deliver high-performance, reliable applications that meet service level agreements while reducing operational costs.
Zeus Technology's ZXTM application traffic management software reroutes incoming requests to the fastest server available, directing traffic away from slower or inactive servers, while significantly increasing the number of users a server can support. The software loads balance traffic across multiple servers enabling enterprises to better scale their applications.
"This partnership is an excellent opportunity to bring the benefits of ZXTM to a broader market," says Paul Brennan, chairman of Zeus Technology. "Sun leads the industry in both price and performance, and running our award winning software on these platforms provides a robust, flexible application traffic management solution that can evolve to meet growing business needs."
