November 12, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web content management systems provider Clickability (clickability.com), and content and applications acceleration provider Akamai Technologies (akamai.com) announced on Monday they have formed a strategic relationship to improve the speed, reliability and performance of shared customers' websites.
Clickability will offer Akamai's dynamic site accelerator solution to its corporate publishers' customer base such as the StarTribune.com and Philly.com for use in conjunction with Clickability's cmPublish software as a service platform. The integrated offering is designed to create a more rewarding user experience while increasing businesses' profitability through content management optimization.
Minnesota newspaper publisher Star Tribune Company's website StarTribune.com recently deployed the integrated solution to deliver over 50 million page views per month of local news, entertainment and sports content, as well as social media in the form of blogs and user generated content. Using its dynamic site accelerator solution, Akamai will help Star Tribune deliver content that ensures a rich Web experience without compromising performance or reliability.
"Akamai's dynamic site accelerator brings a user experience that is unrivaled, helping improve site stickiness, reduce site abandonment and eventually drive more ad revenue and impressions to a site," says Brad Rinklin, VP of marketing at Akamai Technologies. "Combining our capabilities with Clickability's platform, our customers in the publishing industry can not only easily update their site with the most relevant content, but also be able to provide their end users a fast, reliable and engaging online experience. Our customers can focus on what they do best without worrying about performance issues."
