November 7, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Data center facility provider Baltimore Technology Park (baltimoretechnologypark.com) announced on Tuesday it has signed an agreement with HITT Contracting (hitt-gc.com) as its general contractor for the $3 million build-out of additional space at its data center in Baltimore, Maryland.
Founded in 1937, HITT Contracting has grown to rank among the top 100 general contractors in the world. The company has offices in five cities, including Baltimore, and is involved in projects in more than 30 states. Its clients include T. Rowe Price, Booz Allen Hamilton, Morgan Stanley and Citibank.
The 11,000-square-foot build-out of BTP is scheduled to begin construction in November and will create capacity for an additional 250 server cabinets and more space for cages and suites. Six thousand square feet will consist of raised flooring available for collocation while the remaining 5,000 square feet will be designed for employee and client workspace, kitchen, break and conference rooms.
"HITT is honored to be chosen by Baltimore Technology Park, an organization that shares the same commitment to excellence and integrity as we do," says Clark De Franceaux, senior VP of HITT Contracting. "We look forward to leading the build-out of BTP's data center and to working with BTP on future projects."
