October 23, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider Sago Networks (sagonet.com) announced on Tuesday that it has deployed over 1000 servers with Linux, Windows and BSD distributions to a data center in less than 30 days.
The company says it wanted to have the hardware and software in its new servers immediately ready for dedicated server customers and resellers that would need to quickly expand due to increased demand in their services. Sago says all servers come pre-installed with operating systems and are expected to meet the needs of small businesses up to large Fortune 500 companies for Web hosting, backup and countless other Internet solutions and services.
Sago says it had to coordinate three shifts of certified technicians to test a thousand servers over 24 hours a day for 30 days. This averaged about 33 servers installed per day with no outside contracted assistance, says the company.
"This massive undertaking required all of our best technical [staff] to inventory, test and install these servers," says Miller Cooper, president of Sago. "We know that without our certified technicians and their expertise, this would not have been possible. We are proud of our employees and we look forward to having all hardware immediately available to our customers."
