October 7, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- IT compliance and security solutions provider Alert Logic (www.alertlogic.com) announced on Tuesday it has signed a partnership agreement with web hosting provider NaviSite (www.navisite.com), which will offer Alert Logic's Log Manager and Threat Manager to NaviSite's managed hosting customers.
In June, Alert Logic signed a similar agreement with web hosting provider Logicworks, where it began providing the company's customers with Alert Logic's Log Manager and Threat Manager solutions.
Log Manager enables organizations to secure their networks and comply with regulations that require log data to be collected, regularly reviewed, and securely archived.
Threat Manager combines intrusion detection and vulnerability management technology to offer protection from viruses, worms, and other threats that typically bypass perimeter and endpoint defenses.
Many of NaviSite's customers increasingly must comply with industry and government regulations such as Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, Sarbanes-Oxley Act, Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act, and the Gramm-Leach-Bliley Act.
Both Log Manager and Threat Manager provide many of the technologies required to maintain compliance with the PCI DSS as add-on services.

Delivered via a SaaS platform, Log Manager and Threat Manager enable NaviSite to deploy the solutions on behalf of its customers.
Additionally, the SaaS delivery model enables NaviSite customers to access these solutions through a web browser, without the need for software installation or maintenance.
As part of the new partnership agreement, NaviSite will become a member of Alert Logic's Vanguard Program, which provides competitively-priced, on-demand security and log management solutions, accelerated sales cycles and incremental and recurring subscription revenues, minimal management and support effort, and comprehensive sales, marketing and technical support.
Alert Logic provides on-demand compliance and security solutions, enabling customers to detect threats, eliminate vulnerabilities, and manage log data.
NaviSite provides enterprise hosting and application solutions to more than 1,500 companies from its 17 data centers.
