October 4, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Business and email security solutions provider AppRiver (appriver.com) announced on Tuesday it will offer unlimited mailbox storage as part of its Microsoft Exchange hosting service, selling for $12.95 per mailbox per month.
AppRiver says that most hosted Exchange vendors offer 200MB to 500MB of storage, requiring IT administrators to constantly manipulate storage allocation. However, AppRiver's unlimited plan removes the task of quota management, enabling businesses to benefit from the collaboration and mobility offerings of Exchange without storage limitations.
"AppRiver is the first Microsoft Exchange hosting company to offer unlimited mailbox storage," says Scott Cutler, AppRiver's executive vice president. "Email is meant to be a productivity enhancer. Quota monitoring by IT managers and continual requests by end users for additional space are not enhancements. We want to reduce complexity and remove storage from the list of topics to consider when deciding on a Hosted Exchange provider."
AppRiver's Exchange Hosting is targeted at the corporate, government and educational markets worldwide. Equipped with its virus protection tool Shoreline, it reduces the complexity and investment required to provision and maintain Exchange 2003.
