September 11, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Server automation and virtualization provider SWsoft (swsoft.com) announced on Tuesday it has purchased the Ensim Pro software automation business from Ensim (ensim.com) for an undisclosed amount. The two companies will remain independent entities.

The Ensim Pro control panel product is used worldwide by consumers, businesses and service providers. The control panel is available as a Linux version as well as a Windows version, and is used to automate the process of setting up and managing Web servers, email accounts and software applications. Ensim Pro will be added to the company's lineup of automation solutions, which also includes SWsoft Plesk, Confixx, HSPcomplete and PEM.

The acquisition will help SWsoft in broadening its portfolio of automation software and extending its OPEN FUSION and application packaging standard initiatives to benefit a greater number of ISVs, service providers and end customers, says the company.
