September 5, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Data center operator Baltimore Technology Park (baltimoretechnologypark.com) announced on Tuesday it has signed its latest customer, FreePatentsOnline (freepatentsonline.com). The free patent search engine services provider delivers over 10 million page views per month, mostly to intellectual property researchers such as attorneys, students and others seeking technical information.

When the company launched in 2004, a half cabinet and one server was more than sufficient for its needs. However, FreePatentsOnline quickly outgrew its infrastructure and will now lease 12 cabinets from BTP to house its 75 servers. FreePatentsOnline is BTP's largest customer win to date, in terms of space, power and bandwidth consumption.

The FreePatentsOnline search engine is one of the most powerful and fastest patent search engines available on the Web, says the company, enabling users to perform advanced search techniques such as word stemming, proximity searching, relevancy ranking and search term weighing.
