August 28, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider Fat Jack Hosting (fatjackhosting.com) announced on Tuesday that it has deployed Web hosting automation software provider SWsoft's (swsoft.com) Virtuozzo virtualization technology.
Level 1 PCI DSS Certified Service Provider! DataPipe delivers the best network & support; top tier data centers; New York metro, Silicon Valley, London, Hong Kong, Shanghai. DataPipe - Personal Touch, Global Reach.
Fat Jack says it chose to deploy SWsoft's solution because its suite of virtualization products met and exceeded the capabilities of its former virtualization provider, VMWare. The greatest advantage of SWsoft's Virtuozzo product so far, says the company, is that the technology is being deployed at about 25 percent of VMWare's deployment cost.
"When dealing with SWsoft, we experienced none of the product issues we encountered with other virtualization providers," says Ralph Smith, manager at Fat Jack Hosting. "There was no pressure to purchase expensive partner hardware and SANS arrays, when what we already had in place was more than adequate. There was also no contending with promising but not enterprise-ready virtualization software like Xen. Like us, SWsoft had already proven itself a leader in the industry. The choice, therefore, was obvious."
