AIT, tyBit Offer Free Web Services

By David Hamilton, theWHIR.com

August 27, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- tyBit Unified Search (tyBit.com) has partnered with Advanced Internet Technologies (ait.com) to offer new Pay-Per-Click advertising customers a free domain name, one year of web hosting and a free $50 credit.

According to the announcement Wednesday, to participate in the promotion, which will last until September 15, one needs to phone tyBit customer service and be walked through the steps of PPC advertising account creation. tyBit general manager Kitti Jo Finch said the company has no less than 6,000 advertisers in its PPC module alone.

According to the company, its client-side search engine has delivered more than 40 million monthly searches since its launch in June.

"Just as the cost of Internet access is becoming more affordable, AIT and tyBit believe that the cost to advertise to these new Internet users should be just as affordable," AIT sales and marketing vice president Avery Skelton said in a statement.

According to the announcement, AIT and tyBit offer US small businesses, numbering around 12 million, the opportunity to create a website and market their business online through this promotion. tyBit allows businesses customization in what traffic they want flowing to their stores. For instance, businesses only interested in their local market can limit where their ad displays by state, city or zip code.

AIT chairman, chief executive officer, founder and president Clarence E. Briggs III founded tyBit in 2006. It is currently in its beta version and is planned to "go live" by the end of the third quarter this year.
