August 26, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Customer feedback and online reputation management services provider RatePoint (ratepoint.com) has appointed former Constant Contact (constantcontact.com) chief marketing officer Richard Turcott as RatePoint CMO.
RatePoint announced Tuesday, Turcott will lead the company's marketing department including product marketing, and corporate and channel marketing.
A key component to RatePoint's business model, Turcott will also drive strategic market planning, helping form and manage partner and customer relationships, that not only expand their revenue base, but also their customer feedback base. In late July, RatePoint and web hosting provider 1&1 Internet (1and1.com) announced a strategic partnership integrating RatePoint's platform within all of 1&1's hosting packages.
Turcott, who holds an MBA from Northeastern, has almost two decades of marketing experience with particular focus to the small and medium-sized business market.
"Richard brings an unparalleled combination of customer and product marketing knowledge to our management team," RatePoint president and chief executive officer Neal Creighton said in a statement. "His passion for customer-centric business design and his keen understanding of the dynamics of the SMB market will help us further build our marketing strategy, pursue new business opportunities, and extend our brand worldwide."
Prior to RatePoint, Turcott was CMO of Web-based shipping selection services provider RedRoller (redroller.com), where he helped build and launch the company's new subscription service, and assemble product support, management and marketing teams.
Before joining RedRoller, Turcott was CMO of email marketing firm Constant Contact. During his tenure, he lead direct and online marketing, including branding, communications, partner programs and product management, helping grow the customer base by 65,000 and increase the monthly new acquisition rate by 250 percent.
Coming to RatePoint, Turcott said he is excited to join the growing company. "The company is on the cutting edge of delivering businesses with innovative and practical online reputation management solutions and I look forward to creating greater awareness and driving global demand for RatePoint's service," Turcott said in a statement.
