FORTRUST Adds Services, Partner

By Justin Lee, theWHIR.com

August 26, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Data center operator FORTRUST (fortrustllc.com) announced on Tuesday it has added a complete range of data storage and protection services, dubbed FORTRUST Managed Data Services, to its managed services portfolio.

DataPipe’s high-value managed global IT services help thousands of businesses decrease CAPEX, OPEX, & risk while increasing overall service levels. Partner with DataPipe – Improve your ROI - Extend your IT resources

The announcement follows last week's launch of FORTRUST's new website (fortrustdatacenter.com) for its Denver data center.

Available to both new and existing data center customers, the new services enable companies to engage FORTRUST for the management, storage and protection of their data.

"Data storage and protection are perhaps the most critical activities an IT organization is tasked with, yet the work itself is time consuming, tedious and complex," says Rob McClary, general manager of FORTRUST. "For some organizations, the result is that data is inefficiently stored and inadequately protected, potentially leaving those companies with the inability to recover lost data. Our services specifically address those issues."

FORTRUST Managed Data storage enables customers to buy capacity on a demand basis, reducing capital expenses and limiting operating expenses to only the crucial aspects.

The new services complement existing managed services the company already offers, including IT monitoring, management and reporting services such as network device monitoring and management, server/OS management, server monitoring, and applications monitoring and management.

The Managed Data Services will enable FORTRUST to offer a more rich set of solutions to meet the needs of future and existing customers, while ultimately providing a greater value for companies that outsource their data storage and protection services needs.

FORTRUST has partnered with storage and data assurance solutions provider Incentra Solutions (incentrasolutions.com) to support and manage data storage and protection platforms, and assist in provisioning additional capacity to those platforms as needed.

The company says its decision to partner with Incentra was based on Incentra's "long track record in providing technical expertise in the managed storage field, its ability to support and scale to larger environments as needed, and its commitment to reliability and quality service."

To support FORTRUST Managed Data Services, Incentra will locate a substantial infrastructure within the FORTRUST data center for providing a dedicated platform for use by FORTRUST.
