August 25, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Server and data center software developer Rack-Soft (4psa.com) has launched its free VoipNow Browser Module, enabling click-to-call functions in all web pages.
According to Rack-Soft's announcement Monday, the 4PSA VoipNow Browser Module searches web pages for phone numbers, highlighting them and allowing VoipNow users to click-to-call directly from a web page. According to Rack-Soft, the add-on integrates 4PSA VoipNow with any web-based application, including CRMs, ERPs, intranet, web-based email and regular websites.
"We created this plug-in software because we wanted to offer our customers better integration with software from other vendors", Rack-Soft general manager Bogdan Carstoiu said in a statement. "For all applications that work in the browser, we addressed the integration at the browser level. VoipNow users will be able to add click to call features to any application, which is unique in industry. We are offering this experience for free, so our customers do not have to pay for the hidden costs, wait for integrations to become available or install and maintain third party software. Once the browser plug-in is configured, it will work with any web based application."
The company reports that the module is currently available for Internet Explorer and plans to add Mozilla Firefox support by the end of the year.
According to Rack-Soft, the plug-in will boost the productivity of employees that heavily rely on phone communication, like sales and customer relationship representatives.
