August 14, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Dedicated Web hosting provider The Planet (theplanet.com) announced on Tuesday that it has launched its Fast and Free promotion.

Under the deal, The Planet will deliver free setup on all Ready-To-Go server configurations that include choices of Pentium 4, Conroe 3060 or Dual Xeon processor along with the RedHat Linux operating system and the cPanel control panel. The promotion lasts through to midnight CST on August 27.

"We live in an era where time is always a premium, whether it's related to meeting customer demands or managing our business operations," says Urvish Vashi, director of product management at The Planet. "With free set-up combined with Ready-To-Go servers in an hour or less, customers get the best of both, backed by The Planet's six world-class data centers and network."

Last week, The Planet began preparing for this year's holiday season, offering plans to help online retailers meet the online shopping rush.
