August 13, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Routing and switching gear vendor Force10 Networks (force10networks.com) announced on Monday that Turkey-based Web hosting provider Grid Telekom (gridtelekom.com) has deployed the Force10 Reliable Networking product portfolio to deliver high performance data center hosting services.
The Force10 data center networking solution provides high performance reliability that enables Grid Telekom to deliver advanced services while laying the foundation for the delivery of triple play services in the future, says the company.
At Grid Telekom's primary data center in Istanbul, the Force10 TeraScale E300 is the redundant foundation for the gigabit ethernet network while the S50 access switch extends the core-like reliability of the TeraScale E-Series to the edge of the network. The high gigabit ethernet density of the TeraScale E300 enables Grid Telekom to simplify its network architecture as well as lower its related capital and operational costs by collapsing multiple layers into a single one, says Force10 Networks.
"As Grid Telekom continues to build out its data center infrastructure and prepares to deliver triple play solutions, reliable performance and the ability to scale are imperative," says Stephen Garrison, VP of marketing at Force10 Networks. "By deploying the Force10 TeraScale E-Series and S-Series in tandem with the P-Series security appliances, Grid Telekom is ensuring network integrity and reliability to guarantee maximum uptime and facilitate the reliable delivery of services."
Force10 Networks recently partnered with clustered network storage solution provider Isilon Systems to bring optimized networking solutions to the data center.
