August 11, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider SingleHop (singlehop.com) announced on Monday it plans to launch IP Cast, a new content delivery network offering on Labor Day.
The web host is currently accepting RSVP reservations for 300 free accounts it intends to give away on the launch date for anyone who advance RSVP's for IP Cast CDN service.
Two-hundred accounts will be allotted to anyone who purchases a server from SingleHop before launch date, while the remaining 100 will be reserved for clients who RSVP. The RSVP's will be done on a first-come, first-served basis.
The offer will initially be available only to SingleHop customers who have one or more servers with SingleHop that are priced $150 per month or more.
"I'd like to make it clear that this means for the first three full years of CDN service SingleHop customers who RSVP'd early will receive 250GB of free monthly CDN bandwidth and a low overage rate of $0.20 per GB, which is billed on actual usage," says Zak Boca, founder and president of SingleHop.
SingleHop's new CDN offering, which will include over 23 server nodes throughout the world, expands on the company's growing portfolio of services.
