August 11, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Data Center operator Terremark Worldwide (terremark.com) announced on Thursday that healthcare staffing services provider Cross Country Healthcare (crosscountry.com) has signed a multi-year contract to house its critical infrastructure at Terremark's NAP of the Americas as part of its business continuity and disaster recovery plans.
Terremark says its NAP of the Americas secure and redundant environment provides Cross Country Healthcare with the business continuity environment necessary to keep its key information systems close at hand.
"Our customers include more than 3,000 hospitals and other healthcare providers located throughout the country. They rely on us to leverage technology so our operations must be always on-line to meet their staffing requirements, including our single-point of contact service model to manage all job orders, credential verification, candidate testing, invoicing, and management reporting for staff around the country," says Joseph Boshart, president and CEO of Cross Country Healthcare. "After our experience last year with Hurricane Wilma, we are even more committed to safeguarding our operations and providing the quality of uninterrupted services that we can achieve using Terremark's Internet exchanges and managed IT infrastructure solutions."
Last Wednesday Terremark signed a multi-year agreement with Internet protocol and communications technology provider Eagle Broadband.
