APC Hosts Data Center Events
August 9, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Network infrastructure provider American Power Conversion (apc.com) announced on Tuesday it will host Data Center Test Drive Days, an event aimed at educating professionals on the latest developments in data center design, building and operations.
Throughout the week of September 18, IT and facilities professionals in the US and Canada are invited to attend free educational events which showcase technologies and best practices used to maximize the efficiency and capabilities of the modern data center. The events will take place at tradeshows, hotels, movie theatres, Microsoft Demo Centers and at various APC customer sites in more than 100 cities across the US and Canada, including New York, Boston, Houston, Salt Lake City, Phoenix and Toronto.
Attendees will learn about recent developments in data center technology and methodology, and will see how APC's InfraStruXure architecture drives data centers. APC InfraStruXure customer and top Formula 1 racing team BMW Sauber F1 is serving as the promotional supplier for Data Center Test Drive Days.
"Each event will address the current issues facing the data center, including how to cope with accelerating energy costs," says Aaron Davis, VP of worldwide marketing and communications for APC. "These free education events represent a perfect opportunity for IT and facilities professionals who are planning to build, upgrade or simply improve upon their data center infrastructure to learn first-hand about APC's revolutionary InfraStruXure architecture."
