August 7, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Open source collaboration software provider Open-Xchange (open-xchange.com) announced on Wednesday it has signed an agreement with O3SIS (o3sis.com), a provider of open-standards-based over-the-air data synchronization and push technologies.

The companies anticipate a release in the third quarter software that will enable ISPs, telcos and web hosting providers to offer their customers a mobile extension of the Open-Xchange Hosting Edition.
Last month, Open-Xchange announced it is offering the new version of its Open-Xchange Server Edition in beta release.
O3SIS will add mobile capabilities to the email, calendar, address book and tasks of Hosted Open-Xchange. The company supports more than 300 certified mobile devices, covering more than 95 percent of the total mobile subscriber base.
The company's solutions are currently deployed by top tier mobile operators, including Vodafone Group, E-Plus, O2, and T-Mobile, with millions of users worldwide.
