Go Daddy says its testimony explained the role of domain registrars and Web hosting providers in the fight against child pornography. Go Daddy says it has investigated thousands of allegations of child pornography and inappropriate ?child modeling? sites linked to pornography.

"The Go Daddy Group devotes substantial resources to working with law enforcement, the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children, and others to help protect children from Internet predators," says Go Daddy general counsel Christine Jones, who testified on this issue last year before a House subcommittee and appeared Tuesday before the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science and Transportation. "Exploitation of children online generally - and specifically child pornography - is a growing and unacceptable problem that must end, and we are committed to working with law enforcement to see to it that it happens."

Go Daddy says it often responds to community tips about possible online predators, reporting offending sites and registrants to authorities and the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

The company says it has a full-time presence in Washington DC and is taking an active role in issues that affect the Internet community, including phishing scams and email spam.
