July 14, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Electronic signatures and data security solutions provider Algorithmic Research (arx.com) and identity and trust assurance management solutions provider Comodo (comodo.com), announced on Friday they have signed an agreement to offer Comodo's Web Trusted certificates for use with CoSign Electronic Signatures.
Level 1 PCI DSS Certified Service Provider! DataPipe delivers the best network & support; top tier data centers; New York metro, Silicon Valley, London, Hong Kong, Shanghai. DataPipe - Personal Touch, Global Reach.
CoSign's use of Comodo's Web Trusted certificates will enable third-party users to verify documents signed by CoSign's standard digital signatures within applications such as Microsoft Word and Adobe Acrobat, without the additional software components or certificates that many other electronic signature solutions require.
"With electronic signatures, backed by Comodo Web Trusted certificates, companies may confidently exchange signed documents and emails to users outside of their organization, secure in the knowledge that they are verifiable by every recipient," says James Langman, director of business development for Comodo.
Standard PKI-based signature embeds the signature in the document when applying a standard signature to a document, such as a PDF document. In other words, the signature travels together with the document when it is sent to another user.
