Cirrus Tech Product Director Ali Mirdamadi said the new HotBrick hardware will address the specific customer requirements without the inefficiency of developing individual applications for each. "With an all-in-one solution, our clients can enjoy additional features at relatively the same cost as a single application," he said in a statement.
Toronto-based Cirrus Tech currently offers dedicated server hosting plans with either a software firewall clients can configure on their server or an external firewall managed by Cirrus. With the new all-in-one device from HotBrick, Cirrus Tech said the now allows clients to have full network firewall management capabilities.
Clients can now easily establish up to 10 simultaneous VPN tunnels with various encryption methods, and for clients who demand greater stability and redundancy, this hardware will be able to support load balancing between two or more servers.
Cirrus Tech partnered with R1Soft (r1soft.com) in June to offer data protection services to offer additional back-up features including virtually unlimited recovery points.
