Zeus Makes CRN Emerging Vendor List

By Justin Lee, theWHIR.com

July 8, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Application technology provider Zeus Technology (zeus.com) announced on Tuesday it has been selected by Everything Channel as a CRN Emerging Tech (crn.com/it-channel/208800862) vendor for its ZXTM software.

CRN's Emerging Tech list recognizes companies that are delivering high margins for solution providers with innovative technology that undercuts industry heavyweights.

Zeus says its channel partners can offer their customers the only software application delivery controller available on the market that meets the requirements of any organization's deployment environment.

The Zeus Accredited Partner Program is designed to provide partners with the training, tools and marketing support needed to deliver advanced application delivery software to their customers.

The program offers resellers revenue-driving programs and includes technical and pre-sales training, privileged access to Zeus systems engineering team, full marketing support, as well as pre-qualified leads from Zeus' sales and marketing team.

The CRN Emerging Tech Survey considers the top reasons solution providers add emerging technologies are the technology's superiority over its competition, its ability to compliment a solution providers' existing practice areas, offering better services opportunities, being more attentive to partners, offering higher margins, a wide selection of products and better joint marketing programs.

In a recent survey, 61 percent of solutions providers say they plan to increase the number of emerging technology vendors they partner with in the next 12 months.

"We are honored to have been named a CRN Emerging Tech Vendor," says Paul Brennan, CEO and chairman of Zeus Technology. "Our focus is on our partners and helping them achieve their business objectives through our supported channel partner program and being on CRN's list validates our promise."

Vendors that are included in the CRN Emerging Tech list must have an established solution provider program and formal guidelines for recruiting channel partners, demonstrate that its direct sales mix is trending down as evidenced by the company's revenue history, have a channel positive or channel neutral strategy in place for internal sales compensation, and not be a dominant market share player.

The CRN editorial teaminal has the final say on which vendors make the Emerging Technology list after reviewing the submitted information and conversations with current or targeted partners.

Last month, Zeus has selected hardware from Sun Microsystems that will enable it to deliver high performance, compact, energy efficient appliances based on Sun Fire X2200 M2 and Sun Fire X4100 M2 servers to its global customer base.
