July 7, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- UK-based web host Easyspace (easyspace.com) is offering a range of virtual private server package add-ons including a Burstable RAM service on its Linux Packages and automated backup services for both Windows and Linux servers.
This is Easyspaces' latest addition to their VPS services, following the release of Remote Desktop Protocol service allowing access via Terminal Services.
Burstable RAM, according to Easyspace, will allow customers to exploit additional RAM resources, which can be particularly helpful "when installing additional applications or running large scripts," the company said in a press release, "while the Automated Backup service will allow you to roll back to any version of your server from the previous seven days."
Sales and marketing director Errol Vanderhorst said that while Easyspace is a leader in the field, it must expand the variety of services offered in order to remain competitive. "I think we've shown in recent months with the launch of Windows VPS and RDPand now the launch of the Burstable RAM and Automated Backup add-on services, that we are responding to the requirements of the market, and we will continue to do so," Vanderhorst said in a statement.
Easyspace has also announced a new .eu domain offer this week, following the popularity of the .biz and .net offers it had run in recent months. Until the end of July, customers buying a domain name from Easyspace will be able to purchase any number of .eu domain names for £6.25 each per year.
