July 2, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Netherlands-based web hosting and colocation services company WebaZilla (webazilla.com) has announced the opening of its Dallas, Texas data center as its first foray into the US market.
Level 1 PCI DSS Certified Service Provider! DataPipe delivers the best network & support; top tier data centers; New York metro, Silicon Valley, London, Hong Kong, Shanghai. DataPipe - Personal Touch, Global Reach.
With two Dutch data centers in operation, according to the announcement last week, WebaZilla expects the Texas site to be a high-speed venture, with a constant power supply, flexible backup copying on separate servers and instant data recovery.
Based on the new Cisco 7609S platform, the network servers and equipment are protected by a conditioning system that maintains temperature, humidity and dust for the entire data center. WebaZilla selected Dallas as the location of the new data center to target a greater market segment.
"Years of experience and knowledge were used to build WebaZilla's new hosting network," WebaZilla spokesperson Alexei Goubarev said in the press release. "The new Dallas data center allows WebaZilla to deliver the best performance possible to customers around the world."
According to the latest statistics from webhosting.info, the Netherlands is the seventh most web host rich countries in the world. Given the small market in the low-lying nation, it makes sense that Dutch hosts would stand to gain by taking their expertise to more populous markets and forming partnerships with internationals.
