Level 1 PCI DSS Certified Service Provider! DataPipe delivers the best network & support; top tier data centers; New York metro, Silicon Valley, London, Hong Kong, Shanghai. DataPipe - Personal Touch, Global Reach.
The facility's five-year term, which includes quarterly interest-only payments for the first two years, will start for Savvis UK when construction wraps up some time in the fourth quarter of 2008.
First announced in December 2007, the Slough data center is located near London. The facility is being constructed in response to strong customer demand for more space, power and managed IT services in the UK.
As part of Savvis' $400 million global investment into new facilities and its network across Europe, Asia and North America over two years, the new London data center site is located outside the M25 and closer to the grid.
The location will help the company to overcome technical infrastructure, space and power obstacles often involved with central London facilities.
The new facility will be comprised of 36,500 square feet of raised floor space, as well as the capacity to add about 30,000 square feet of additional raised floor space in the future.
Savvis will offer colocation, virtualization, utility computing and managed security services at the Slough facility.
