July 1, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Application delivery controller software provider Zeus Technology (zeus.com) has appointed Travis Reed as General Manager of the Americas division to help spur North American growth.
Effective June 1st, Reed will "focus on increasing the company sales presence, marketing awareness and channel effectiveness in the US and Canada," according to the press release announcement Tuesday.
His new position will be a promotion from his previous role as Vice President of Corporate Development, where he built and maintained strategic partnerships, including original equipment manufacturer partnerships and channel development opportunities.
"Travis continues to be a strong addition to our worldwide leadership team and he will play an important role in helping us achieve our growth objectives in the US and Canada," CEO and Chairman of Zeus Technology Paul Brennan said in the press release.
Zeus' Extensible Traffic Manager solution, or ZXTM, "lowers costs for data center space and power, cuts the cost of bandwidth and offers the highest scalability of any application delivery controller or load balancer in the industry" according to the company, and has made agreements earlier this year to be resold by CPU Sales (cpusales.com) and IT-Unlimited (it-unlimited.net).
Prior to joining Zeus in August 2007, Reed?s experience includes working as a software analyst on Wall Street and over 10 years selling and marketing technology solutions for such companies as IBM, BEA, and Microsoft.
