June 24, 2008 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider Cirrus Tech (cirrustech.com) announced on Tuesday it has partnered with continuous data protection provider R1Soft (r1soft.com), providing Cirrus Tech's dedicated server customers with data protection services.

"The web hosting industry is an extremely competitive environment," says Ehsan Mirdamadi, CEO of Cirrus Tech. "Losing clients' data and ultimately their trust can result in huge consequences for any web host. While we currently provide an in-house backup solution, we felt that R1Soft's solution offered additional back-up features that may appeal to some of our clients."
R1Soft enables customers to specify the frequency of recovery points, or back-ups, enabling them to make as many recovery points as they wish. They are only limited by their back-up storage capacity and available traffic within their hosting plan.
R1Soft offers a unique value-added program for web hosts, R1Soft Hosting Partner Program, which provides partners with volume discounts, 50 percent off MySQL add-ons, professional public relations services and other brandable marketing materials.
The company's data protection solution, itself, offers many benefits, including near continuous backup of data, backup management through the Plesk Control panel, bare-metal disaster recovery and end-to-end strong encryption.
Cirrus Tech says it plans to offer its current remote back-up solution alongside R1Soft's services. The in-house backup service consists of a remote backup storage clients can purchase as an add-on to their dedicated server. This remote drive will appear as a network drive that clients can manage.
R1Soft's near-continuous data protection will be available for new and existing Cirrus Tech dedicated server customers in the upcoming month.
