June 15, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Digital optical network provider Infinera (infinera.com) announced on Thursday that it will unveil its 40 Gb/s strategy and a new 40 Gb/s module for its Infinera DTN system at next week's NXTComm industry trade show. Infinera will also be discussing the latest update in its network operating system, IQ4.0, which is designed to offer further advances in digital optical networks intelligence and performance.
The company was also selected by integrated communications services provider Deltacom to provide its digital optical network for Deltacom's regional network. Deltacom says it selected Infinera for the speed, simplicity, and capacity of the Infinera DTN system
Next week, Infinera will unveil the Infinera MTC, a new 19-inch chassis option for the Infinera DTN, enabling it to offer a solution tailored for the cable market, the Internet service provider market and the research and education market, where many customers prefer a 19-inch solution to the traditional 23-inch carrier class solution being offered today.
