June 13, 2007 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Australian Web hosting provider Hostworks (hostworks.com.au) announced on Tuesday that it has partnered with access infrastructure solution provider Citrix Systems (citrix.com) to expand the penetration of the Citrix NetScaler Web application acceleration technology in the Australian market.
Hostworks says it uses Citrix NetScaler 8.0 to equip its customers to meet unprecedented demand peaks as rich Web-based applications, such as streaming video, become more and more popular.
Citrix says NetScaler optimizes the delivery of Web applications improving performance, increasing security and improving Web server capacity. Hostworks will push its brand into the Australian market by purchasing NetScaler 8.0 boxes and providing them to customers as a managed service.
"Not too many organizations have the Web-based application expertise needed for NetScaler, which is a very targeted solution," says Dean Vaughan, Australia and New Zealand channel development manager for Citrix. "For Citrix, partners like Hostworks offer a route-to-market that differs from traditional on-selling. Hostworks allows us to reach customers who can benefit from having their own NetScaler boxes with their own rules as part of large Web-based application deployments. We are certainly expecting that Hostworks is a strong route to market for us with NetScaler. We believe Hostworks will bring us opportunities that we would not know about without its assistance."
