June 8, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider Hostway (hostway.com) announced on Wednesday it has released its new business-class podcasting tool. The new product offers customers a new means to market their businesses by broadcasting their own audio recordings, videos and text documents via their Web sites.
Hostway's podcasting tool offers three levels of disk space up to 1.5GB and plans that start at $2.95 per month. The feature enables users to record audio messages on their PCs, create new feeds on podcasting homepages, create new podcasts within the feed and monitor site traffic and available disk space.
Interested listeners can subscribe to feeds using iTunes, automatically downloading the podcasts as they become available and transferring them to MP3 players as they like. End users can use an application that checks the podcasting sites that they belong to for new or updated feeds.
"Over the past few years consumers have demanded more information and entertainment that is specific to their personal needs and lifestyles," says John Lee, VP of global marketing and general manager for Hostway. "This personal realm has begun to spread to the business world as we've seen with blogs and therefore Hostway created this podcasting tool to ensure our customers businesses are fully equipped with all the current marketing tools."
