June 7, 2006 -- (WEB HOST INDUSTRY REVIEW) -- Web hosting provider 1&1 Internet (1and1.com) announced on Wednesday it is providing updated spam protection and its Map and Driving Directions product in its current set of Web hosting features.
1&1's updated spam features include a whitelist, which automatically bypasses the spam filter, and a blacklist, which automatically moves specific emails to a spam folder. The list is derived from a global list of spammers that is constantly updated.
The MDD is part of the company's dynamic content catalog and it provides users with a picture image and detailed driving directions to any specified address the user searches.
"Identifying the physical location of a specific address and how to get there is becoming an integral part in how people select businesses and services. Also, businesses can add the MDD to their Web sites to make it even easier to attract customers," says Andreas Gauger, CEO of 1&1 Internet. "Our proprietary technology and constant monitoring provides piece of mind for our customers."
